Abstract

|
Recently, as the level of biotechnology development has accelerated (including stem cell research), there has been a growing interest in technology development that utilizes stem cells in various fields to improve the efficiency of new drug development. Therefore, many high quality stem cell lines have become more in demand. The purpose of this paper was to introduce the fundamentals of stem cell bank as a core infrastructure for practical stem cell use and the current list of stem cell resources for distribution. In conjunction with this, we would like to introduce the expected accomplishments of the National Center for Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine (NCSR), which evaluates the qualifications of facilities and equipment, and validates each process in preparation for Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) certification inspection.
